Main Street Blues has been airing since 2010 and runs three hours every Saturday starting at 7 PM EST. We play three hours of the best blues from around the world. Specializing in independent artists, but play everything from the Classic masters to artists getting their first ever airplay.
Kevin Hardy was born and raised in Northern Indiana and still lives there. He’s married and have a teenage son. Music has always been present in his life, his dad was a musician and sang in a barbershop chorus. Music was always playing in his house. Much to his dad’s disappointment he started listen to heavy metal and hard rock in high school. That all changed when his best friend who was stationed in Japan (Marine Corp) came home with an album that “he had to listen to” It was Canned Heat and Detroit blues legend John Lee Hooker. He was hooked from the start. He got into radio quite by accident, he was talking to the owner of a station and talking blues, he asked him to do a show as Kevin knew a lot about the blues. And Main Street Blues was born!
