Why did you decide to start it?
3. Too Be honest the beginning of Funk-A started after a interesting Mad Decent Block Party 2013
After Major Lazor (A Big Name in the EDM Scene) consistently picked up the microphone to holler at the crowed every 30 seconds without letting the beat play out. Also Bringing out Young girls on stage to “Twerk” and act a fool of themselves.
To say the least I was VERY unimpressed!.. And Funk-A was born!!
Are you a solo Artist or part of group?
4. Solo Artist at the moment. Trying to Find my unique sound, but do work with other musicians for my production.
Whether it being my good friend “Saucy Jackson” or “Hearing Colors” on guitar or working with friends currently in bands with excellent instrumentation
What name do you go by?
5. My stage name is Funk-A (Fuh-nk -Ay)
How did you come up with the name?
6. I have always Loved the Roots of Funk Music, The Grooves and feel it gave me! Knowing what kind of music i wanted to DJ when i first started i knew it was going to surround the genre. With Help From my Good Friend Andy Grimes we brainstormed at work and I decided it would fit well with saying “Are you ready to get Funk ay!!” live. And it stuck!
Who do you like to collaborate with?
7. OH MAN, Haven’t got to do as many as I would like too, But my Good friend Vyntage, is a super talented Musician/Producer with similar taste, Always a pleasure Working with this katt.
“Saucy Jackson” – MY DUDE!! Talented friend of mine who is on ALOT of the Funk-A Beats rippin the guitar up! Will definitely be hearing more from him in the future!
“Hearing Colors” – Also Featured on a few tracks of mine, Killer with the Minor blues scales and he knows just how to give you the feels through the GeeTar 😉
Would love to Collab with Griz!! my idol and inspiration. Just throwing that in there 😉
Where do you play?
8. Michigan mainly, Kalamazoo, Mount Pleasant, Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Traverse City.
Have appeared in other states such as Maine, Chicago, Ohio.

9. Just Finished a small Michigan Tour Playing with Manic Focus, Desert Dwellers, Project Aspect, & unlimited Aspect
Back in the studio finishing tracks up for the album release.
