It’s safe to say that we all know, I am a pretty weird minded guy and that I don’t think like everyone else. To that end, I am giving you a Christmas gift that feels fitting to the mythos of the day.

Normally on Friday’s at 8pm I am live, every so often though I take a random Friday off. This year has been pretty rough on my family. Those of you that caught our live broadcast the day after Thanksgiving know what we’re going through. The rest of you will find out in due time. It is because of this, we’re taking Christmas off and spending time with each other.

For Christmas though, I didn’t want to leave you empty handed. On Dec 25th 2020, at 8pm EST on tapdetroit.com, we’ll be airing something called The Rabbit Hole in our slot. The Rabbit Hole was a podcast my wife and I started while I was away for 5 years. It is a light-hearted approach to common conspiracy theories, things like Time Travel, UFOs, Bigfoot and more.

The specific topic I chose was The Mandela Effect, which we did across a series of 3 episodes during the run of The Rabbit Hole. For those unfamiliar with The Mandela Effect…

The term “Mandela Effect” began when it was first coined in 2009 by Fiona Broome when she published a website detailing her observance of the phenomenon. Broome was at a conference talking with other people about how she remembered the tragedy of former South African president Nelson Mandela’s death in a South African prison in the 1980s.

However, Nelson Mandela did not die in the 1980s in a prison—he passed away in 2013. As Broome began to talk to other people about her memories, she learned that she was not alone. Others remembered seeing news coverage of his death as well as a speech by his widow.

Broome was shocked that such a large mass of people could remember the same identical event in such detail when it never happened. Encouraged by her book publisher, she began a website to discuss what she called the Mandela Effect and other incidents like it. –VeryWellMind.com

I decided since Christmas is a day that supposedly defies time and reality in nature anyways. Why not, edit all 3 episodes into a single episode and air it on Christmas. So, that is exactly what I am doing. Tune in Friday, December 25th at 8pm EST to hear something a little bit different.
