IT’S FINALLY HERE! Behemoth’s long awaited and highly anticipated video for “Blow Your Trumpet Gabriel” was released on December 5th, and staying true to form, its bloody epic.

Nergal – real name Adam Darski – the bands front man, was incredibly eager to pump out new material after his battle with Leukemia two years ago. Luckily, Nergal beat the shit out of said disease and has returned with guns a blazing. No strangers to controversy, Behemoth made sure to stick to what they know: unabashed blasphemy, divinely attractive half-naked women, and turbulent flows of an unspecified murky liquid. Oh, and a couple animals, sometimes dead sometimes alive.

This time around, the trio released three teasers (1, 2 and 3) for the video in the weeks leading up to its official launch, all of which gave me the same feeling I get whilst watching the moments in a horror film when you KNOW something is about to happen. The execution was perfect. And the most important part – the actual song – picks up exactly where Evangelion left off.  Its 100% br00tal, and dare I say…slightly catchy (for blackened death metal, of course).  Below is the video for “Blow Your Trumpet Gabriel”, and make sure to pick up Behemoth’s upcoming full-length album The Satanist on February 4th!

*Before you watch the video, because you may or may not be curious, a Schweinehund is an insult in German meaning “pig dog”. If you want to both insult and confuse someone, I suggest slinging that word around then sitting back to watch the reactions. The video doesn’t actually contain a pig-dog, but does feature both a dog and a pig. So there ya go.

What do you think of the video for BYTG? As visually stunning as their previous videos or is it lacking a certain something? Let me know in the comments!
